Equipment Room

The equipment room is an amazing resource for our members. Outdoor equipment is expensive and the cost often prevents people from getting outside to enjoy the outdoors. We have tents, backpacks, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, water bottles, first aid kits, headlamps, fishing poles, stoves, pots and pans, food containers, and water purifiers for fall trips. Come winter we have snowshoes, cross-country and telemark skis, boots and poles, winter boots, gaiters, overmits, Gore-tex jackets, wind pants, warm jackets, and ice fishing equipment available. To take out equipment you must have your membership card with you and it is due back the following Wednesday. As long as you return gear on time you may use it free of charge.

Located on level ‘M’ of Paresky (to get there, take the firestairs near the mailroom half a flight down), the equipment room is open from 12:30 to 1:30 Monday – Thursday and 12:00 to 2:00 on Fridays (during Winter Study, the hours are noon to 2pm on all weekdays, and 10am-noon on Saturdays). Members of the board are on duty every day to answer questions, check out equipment and sell memberships, merchandise, and the WOC Trail Guide and WOC trail maps.
