Financial Aid Policy

Most WOC programming is free, but a couple programs require a fee for lodging/food costs. Please fill out this form to request financial aid for a Williams Outing Club (WOC) program/trip that has an extra cost associated with it. Note that requesting financial aid is a commitment to participate in the program/trip.

Also, please review the outline of the financial aid procedure and policy below before filling out the form. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the WOC Director, Scott Lewis ([email protected]), or submit them through this form!

After receiving your response to this form,
1. Scott Lewis will send a request to the Financial Aid Office to receive information about your financial aid status and level. Note that your request will remain confidential besides this request to the financial aid office.
2. The Office of Financial Aid will send Scott a designation for your level of financial aid (High= 100%, Medium= 80%, or Low= 50%)
3. Using this designation and percentage, Scott will calculate the amount of financial aid you will receive for the program or trip.
4. All students going on the trip will pay the program cost prior to going and be refunded separately to allow for the maintenance of confidentiality. Please note in the questions section if paying up front and being refunded will be a barrier to your participation and Scott will reach out to you about another way to proceed.

Financial aid cap: Currently any student receiving financial aid from the college is eligible for up to $300 in financial aid for WOC programming per academic year.
