Wyonegonic Camps is the oldest residential camp for girls in the United States and is located in Dennark, ME. We offer a traditional activity program that’s includes a strong wilderness tripping element. Trip Leaders receive certification and training in: American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Canoe Instructor Certification Wilderness First Aid Maine State Trip Leader Leave No Trace Wilderness Ethics Training and Certification begins in early June. Female or male Trip Leaders must be 21+ years of age, preferably with Class II whitewater canoe and passenger van driving experience.

Williwaw Adventures – Expedition Instructor for the summer
New England Williwaw Adventures seeking Instructors for our summer wilderness expeditions in Maine. Seeking qualified Instructor to help lead groups of teenagers on a multi-activity wilderness expeditions between 15 and 17 days. Activities can include backpacking, kayaking, and whitewater rafting. Qualifications include multi-day backcountry travel experience (backpacking) and a genuine interest in working with young people. WFR or WFA training desirable. Minimum age is 21, although would make exceptions for those younger and particularly experienced.

Trips begin in late June. Approximate commitment, based on particular trips is from June 24 to August 2. Pay based on qualifications and experience, but competitive for industry. National Park Service paid internship in New Hampshire and Vermont
Activities will include working with the Upper Valley Trails Alliance and the RTCA program, mostly to organize, support and assist in leading the Upper Valley High School Trail Corps for 4 weeks in July & August.

Camp Akeela – Work at a co-ed sleep away camp supporting children with non-verbal learning disabilities
Within a well-rounded, traditional camp program, Akeela is a small, supportive community that helps campers improve their social skills. Akeela campers are bright, creative boys and girls ages 9 – 17 who have difficulty connecting with their peers. Akeela also has a program for older teens who have completed 11th or 12th grade.

Quay Fellowship – Spend a summer doing paid trail work in Williamstown
Since 2005, the WOC board has awarded a $2500 scholarship every summer to a student looking to do extended trail work. The scholarship is named in memory of Bob Quay.
